I have a personal background in writing and theatre, which came together in helping create the original Appalachian Shakespeare Project in Cumberland Gap, TN through Lincoln Memorial University. On this project I was a part of the team who created the script translation for As You Like It, and then became part of the production team as the stage manager. By a stroke of ill luck, I also became the leading lady two weeks before the show premiered.

More recently I had the chance to work as part of the Library Anchor Models for Bridging Diversity Achievements (LAMBDA) Project Team. I worked with the project head, Julie Winkelstein in organizing the concluding summit for the project which was completed in March 2016. Information about the project can be found at lambda.sis.utk.edu
