I worked for 20 years as a public librarian, in a variety of positions, including jails, family literacy, bookmobile, and teen, children's and adult reference. I also wrote a library-related newspaper column for five and a half years. My research interests include public library service to underserved populations and increasing the diversity in the library profession.
